Whakangungu Poumarumaru is an initiative of Te Whare Arataki that supports governance and leadership within kura ā-iwi.

​A series of regional training days will be held to support Board of Trustee members with the following:
  • Roles and responsibilities of Board members
  • Code of Conduct
  • Governance vs Management
  • Representation vs Advocacy
  • Complaints Policy
  • The Board's role in the Professional Growth Cycle of the Principal
  • How to monitor student achievement
  • Board work plan.
 
Members that will find this initiative valuable include:
  • Poumarumaru – or select representatives of the Board of Trustees.
