RE-NAVIGATING HEALTH: LIVING HAUORA
Our health system is focussed on illness, and many of us still rely on western medical and scientific applications when considering our health. These applications are heavily tinana focussed, managing the physical and physiological manifestations of illness. Re-navigating the way we see health does not diminish the importance of medicine and science, but it does raise the mana of our own Māori understandings about hauora. This will be a practical korero about how we can re-navigate the way we think about looking after ourselves and our whanau using all the tools available to us, across the spectrum of knowledge systems.
