HE whakamāramaUri from kura ā-iwi, who have demonstrated excellence and qualified through a rigorous selection process to represent their kura/whānau/iwi at an international event, are encouraged to apply for funding support. All funded initiatives will be grounded in tukuihotanga principles (Reo, Tikanga, Mātāpono Taketake) and focused on elements related to Te Tihi o Angitu:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- This funding supports Ngā Kura-ā-Iwi Uri representing Aotearoa in elite international events overseas.
- An international event that is part of a tour and is scheduled to take place in Aotearoa during the current funding year will qualify for funding.
- If the international event is exclusively held in Aotearoa, this funding cannot be applied to that event.
- If approved, Uri will receive $300 from Ngā Kura ā Iwi o Aotearoa as a scholarship to support and promote our Uri role models.
- Uri may apply for funding once per event, with a maximum of two applications per year.
- In case of a high volume of applications, priority will be given to those who have not accessed the funding in the current funding year.
- All supporting documents must be promptly forwarded to pū[email protected] immediately after an application has been processed.
- The international event must take place within the same year the application is being processed.
- Successful recipients shall demonstrate "tau utu utu" to the koha by either sharing a video or photos directly with NKAI or tagging NKAI in a social media post showcasing their participation in the international event.
