The Ministry of Education requires all kura to have an Attendance Management Plan (AMP) in place by the start of the 2026 school year. To support our kura with this important mahi, Ngā Kura ā Iwi o Aotearoa is engaging a dedicated Kaiārahi to walk alongside kura in designing, refining, and finalising their AMP.
The role of the Kaiārahi includes:
Embedding each kura’s reo, tikanga, and iwi aspirations into the AMP.
Ensuring the AMP meets Ministry of Education requirements.
Supporting the development of strategies for implementation and ongoing review.
WHAT WE ASK OF KURA
Make time for hui and kōrero at your kura.
Ensure the voices of whānau, hapū, and iwi are heard and reflected in the AMP.
NKAI WILL PROVIDE
Full coverage of costs for the AMP Kaiārahi.
Tailored support to ensure your AMP reflects your kura’s unique identity and aligns with the uara of Te Ara ToA and the pou of Te Tihi o Angitu.
