Ngā Kura ā Iwi is a movement that has evolved due to the incredible effort, commitment and sacrifice of many elders, community leaders, families, schools, teachers and students. We will always be thankful for the efforts of many which has enabled Ngā Kura ā Iwi to contribute to the advancement of our people.

It is an honour to serve ngā Kura ā Iwi as we strive to support the aspirations of our iwi, our families, our schools and communities. Our role is to support the aspirations of iwi (tribes), whānau (families) and kura (schools) by;
  • Establishing and supporting opportunities for our people to work together and learn from each other.
  • Facilitating opportunities to support the capability building of iwi, hapū, school boards, principals, staff and students.
  • Advocating on a national and international level for the rights and aspirations of our iwi, families, schools, staff and students.
  • Establishing and nurturing partnerships with tribal entities, government agencies and the private sector to support our kaupapa (mission) and strategic priorities.
We are thankful for the treasures left to us by our ancestors and excited about the future for our people.

Pai mārire ki a koutou katoa.
