TIROHANGA WHĀNUI

This English course will start with a focus on Level 1 Unit standards and is aligned to the vocational  pathway and communication standards.

Focus on day to day communication relevant to everyday contexts of learning and vocational pathways.

NCEA Credits
  • Between 15 – 20 credits offered at Level 1

This course is targeted towards:
  • Uri Tau 10-12

PAEARU WHAKAURU

  • This course is for Uri where English is not offered at their kura.
  • Basic reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing skills.
  • Confident and competent to navigate and engage in new digital spaces.
  • Uri must be reliable, responsible, self-managing, self-motivated and have a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Kura must agree to support Uri to engage fully in the course, as outlined in Kawa Angitu.

NGĀ ARA AKO

​This course will provide Uri with the confidence to engage in written and oral communication in a range of settings.

  • Stable Wifi access at kura and home.
  • Self-motivated and able to learn independently.
