This English course will start with a focus on Level 1 Unit standards and is aligned to the vocational pathway and communication standards.
Focus on day to day communication relevant to everyday contexts of learning and vocational pathways.

PAEARU WHAKAURU
This course is for Uri where English is not offered at their kura.
Basic reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing skills.
Confident and competent to navigate and engage in new digital spaces.
Uri must be reliable, responsible, self-managing, self-motivated and have a positive attitude towards learning.
Kura must agree to support Uri to engage fully in the course, as outlined in Kawa Angitu.

This course will provide Uri with the confidence to engage in written and oral communication in a range of settings.
